Philippine Airlines announced plans to launch direct flights between the Philippines’ second largest city of Cebu City and Los Angeles. The service will commence 15 March 2016, to coincide with the national carrier’s 75th anniversary and will operate three times a week using an A340 aircraft. Philippine cargo: Manila rises, Cebu declines
Two of the Philippines’ main air gateways — Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila and Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) — showed contrasting cargo performance for the first five months of 2015, according to latest data from the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA).
