The UAE and Qatar have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to increase the number of flights between the two countries. Under the MoU, FlyDubai was appointed as a UAE national carrier along with Emirates, Etihad, Air Arabia and RAK Air, while Qatar Airways was appointed Qatar's national carrier. Qatar Airways has awarded a threeyear contract to Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) to provide full passenger and ramp handling at George Bush International Airport.
