SQ Cargo sees widening loss on plummeting yields
Singapore Airlines (SIA) Cargo has seen revenues fall and operating losses deepen on the back of a double-digit yield decline. During its financial first quarter ending 30 June, SIA Cargo saw revenues decline by S$60 million (US$44.8 million), while its operating result slipped to a loss of $34 million compared with S$9.0 million loss a year earlier. Singapore Airlines takes delivery of first A350-900
Singapore Airlines has taken delivery of its first A350 XWB in Toulouse, France, becoming the fifth operator of the all-new widebody airliner. After an initial period flying on regional services to Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta the aircraft will be deployed on long haul flights from May, starting with Amsterdam and then Dusseldorf. Singapore Airlines adds Düsseldorf to network
Düsseldorf will become the third German city in Singapore Airlines’ route network next year, when non-stop flights are introduced from Singapore. The three-times a week service is to be launched on 21 July 2016 using the all-new A350-900, which will be the latest addition to the Airline’s fleet.
