SIA raises $1.5b on A350, B787 leaseback deals

Singapore Airlines has completed sale-and-leaseback transactions for 11 widebody aircraft, comprising seven A350-900s and four B787-10s, raising S$2b or US$1.5b in the process. Arranging the leases are Aergo Capital with one apiece; Altavair for four A350-900s; EastMerchant/Crianza Aviation for one A350-9 and two B787-10s; and Muzinic and Co. Limited with one apiece. Qatar’s new San Francisco service to make more room for belly cargo

Ethiopian Airlines places repeat order for 10 A350-900

Ethiopian Airlines, the largest airline in Africa, has placed an order for 10 additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft, enabling further development of its fast expanding long-haul route network.   Last June, Ethiopian Airlines became the first African carrier to operate the A350 when it took delivery of the first of 12 aircraft in order. Air Caraïbes takes delivery of its first A350-900

With this latest delivery, Air Caraïbes becomes the first French airline to operate the A350 XWB. Cathay Pacific first to Auckland with the A350

Airbus delivers 10,000th aircraft to Singapore Airlines

Airbus celebrated the delivery of its 10,000th aircraft last week - an A350-900 for Singapore Airlines.
