For the sixth successive month, the Stifel Logistics Confidence Index has declined again in November, falling to the lowest registered in three years. The Stifel Logistics Confidence Index saw a fourth consecutive month of decline in September. While the Index, at 51.5, remains above the neutral 50 mark, times may be gloomier that the numbers alone suggest, according to the Index's authors. July’s Stifel Logistics Confidence Index, compiled by Transport Intelligence (Ti) slipped for a second consecutive month to 56.4. While it still remains higher than the same periods for 2013 and 2014, concerns over what the six month outlook may bring appears to be weighing on the market. Forwarders more upbeat about airfreight than sea
The Stifel Logistics Confidence Index for May indicated some improvements from April’s decline. In particular, the six-month outlook appears bright as airfreight gained 2.8 points to 63.4 and sea freight increased 2.1 points to 62.9. Overall, the total index increased 1.1 points to 57.4.
