With the launch of a new service on 31 March 2015 by the Chinese cargo airline Yangtze River Express, Munich Airport now offers five weekly cargo flights to China. The B747-400 freighter will arrive in MUC on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Amsterdam and on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Brussels before departing for China, landing first in Tianjin and then continuing to Shanghai. China Southern Airlines has launched a new B777F freighter service between Los Angeles International Airport and Tianjin, China. The 13-hour direct service marks the only dedicated cargo route linking Tianjin and North America. China Southern Cargo, a proud member of SkyTeam Cargo, will also launch Los Angeles-Tianjin-Shanghai cargo service, starting 5 September. Airbus has said it is close to an agreement with China's Avic's Harbin Aircraft to set up a joint composite-components plant in China. Technology transfer has been a sticking point in the negotiations from the beginning, according to Chinese media reports that the talks have been deadlocked.
