Saudia Cargo adds two weekly freighter flights to Shanghai
Saudia Cargo has added Shanghai to its freighter network with one flight departing from Riyadh every Saturday and another from Jeddah every Tuesday, a press release confirmed. The carrier will use a B777 freighter with a 95-tonne capacity to transport cargo between Shanghai and Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport and Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport. Ethiopian Airlines cargo plane up in flames at Shanghai’s Pudong Airport
Ethiopian Airlines’ Boeing 777 freighter aircraft caught fire while loading cargo at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on 23 July, said the airline in a social media post. Fire was contained and none of the crew or ground staff were harmed, the post stated. Hong Kong-based logistics provider Tigers has appointed Jana Schebera as new managing director for China, according to a press release, as the company looks to add more layer of freight forwarding expertise as it expands in Asia. PACTL sets new record for 1H 2015
Shanghai Pudong Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd. (PACTL) has achieved tonnage growth of 10.9 per cent year-on-year, handling 762,104 tonnes of air freight during the first half of 2015, making it the strongest result for the first six months of any year in the company’s history. DHL eCommerce, a division of Deutsche Post DHL Group, has expanded its operations in China focusing on cross-border and domestic e-commerce services.
