WFS to add 6,500-sqm cargo terminal at Madrid airport
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a member of the SATS Group, is set to become Madrid’s largest independent handler with the opening of a fifth cargo handling facility at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. The ground handler has begun the construction of a new 6,500-sqm terminal, slated to begin operations by the end of Q1 2024. Nippon Express is looking to widen its tracks in international markets and has agreed to acquire Tramo group, a Swiss-Italian furniture logistics specialist, for an estimated 10 billion yen (US$68 million). Hong Kong air cargo volumes continue rebound
Cargo volumes at Hong Kong International Airport continued on its path to recovery in July as the airport recorded a year-on-year increase of 3.8 percent over the same month last year at 361,000 tonnes.
