Venue change for ECM/AGM

June 1, 2007 by Payload Asia

The 34th Executive Council Meeting (ECM) of the Federation of Asia-Pacific Aircargo Associations (FAPAA), this year hosted by the Hongkong Association of Freight Forwarding & Logistics (HAFFA) has changed the venue in Hong Kong. The ECM will now take place in Hotel Nikko Hong Kong, located in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

The event will be from August 30 to September, 1, with a tentative golf tournament scheduled for August 30 and a gala dinner to be held in the Hong Kong area on September 1. Host HAFFA said the location for the gala dinner would be advised shortly and the golf tournament would only proceed if there are a sufficient number of participants.

FAPAA delegates can register on-line at www.fapaa.org/events_ECM34.asp and the deadline for on-line registration is Monday, July 16, 2007. There will be no guarantee on the availability of the type of guest room if delegates submit their registration after the deadline.

Further information about the event can be found at the FAPAA web site at www.fapaa.org

FAPAA delegates are advised that the timing of the ECM/AGM has been scheduled in such a way that delegates can also visit the 13th Air Freight Asia 2007 Exhibition & Conference, which will take place in the AsiaWorld-Expo complex at Hong Kong International Airport from September 3-6, 2007.

Air Freight Asia 2007 will for the first time be part of the well-known Asian Aerospace Expo & Congress, organised by Reed Exhibitions Ltd. The AsiaWorld-Expo is linked to the Airport Express hi-speed train, which connects to both Kowloon and Hong Kong Island and offers free bus transport to all leading hotels, including Hotel Nikko Hong Kong.

FAPAA members who wish to attend the Air Freight Asia Conference, will enjoy an Early Bird rate of US$ 525, when they register before June 30, 2007. After that date a special rate of US$575 will apply. The conference fee covers attendance of the full conference programme, coffee/tea breaks and lunches on September 4 and September 5, plus all related documents.
