Korean Air has announced the appointment of James Jin-Ho Yoon as the company’s regional general manager, passenger & cargo sales of the carrier’s Hong Kong and Macau region. Yoon, 44, has served Korean Air since January 1989 as the load controller of cargo freighter, where he has spent his 4-year career in a range of cargo operation management.

He was transferred to the safety administration department in 1993 and was responsible for safety planning before he was seconded to Europe in May 1996.

Yoon was stationed in Europe from 1996 to 2001 to oversee the cargo business in Zurich, Basel and Frankfurt. Prior to his appointment as general manager of cargo division in Hong Kong in December 2006, Yoon between 2001 and 2006 spearheaded several cargo divisions in the Seoul headquarters, including cargo sales, cargo route and fl eet management.
