Bank of China-owned BOC Aviation has delivered the first of seven new Boeing 737-800s to Jet Airways.
A second aircraft will be delivered at the end of this month and the remaining five are scheduled for delivery in 2010 and 2011. All aircraft are on long term leases.
BOC Aviation first announced that it was leasing two aircraft to Jet Airways in July last year and the airline subsequently signed agreements to lease another five aircraft.
The Asia-based aircraft leasing company has a portfolio of 78 aircraft flying with airlines worldwide and has 62 aircraft on firm order for deliverythrough to 2013.
