The International Air Transport Association (IATA) says airlines operating in Africa are set to lose at least US$300 million more than they lost last year. “For 2008 we expect global losses of US$5.2 billion and $700 million of that on this continent, making Africa the most unprofitable place to run an airline,” Lance Brogden, regional vice president-AfricaIATA said.
