Africa-based cargo airline, Avient has announced it is moving its European hub from Paris Vatry Airport to Liege, Germany. “The move provides many opportunities for the future development of Avient, adding huge benefits to our operational service capabilities,” Avient said.

Liege Airport has a number of cargo operators using its facilities – primarily the Lufthansa, DHL joint venture Aerologic – and the airport has provided an attractive platform and infrastructure to encourage airline development, it added.

The new independent cargo handling agent at Liege, AviaPartner Cargo Liege (APCL), have been chosen as handling agents and two warehouses totaling 12,500 m2 provide full perishable capability, an area Avient hopes to grow.
