CEVA Logistics has appointed Tom Jones as senior vice president automotive operations – North America. He joins CEVA after a 25 year career at Ryder where he most recently served as senior vice president Supply Chain Solutions with responsibility for the company’s automotive, high tech, retail and consumer packaged goods sectors. During his tenure there, he had P&L responsibility for logistics which included the management of the flow of goods from acquisition to raw materials and the delivery of finished products for more than 100 household name companies.
In his new role, Jones will be leading CEVA’s automotive operations across North America and will be based from the company’s Southfield, MI office. He reports directly to Steve Gundlach, executive vice president contract logistics – North America.
Commenting on his appointment, Jones said: “The opportunity to join a leading global logistics company with such a strong background across the automotive sector was very enticing. I am keen to focus on developing the innovative solutions we can create for our customers and combine that with the excellent operational base which is already in place”.
Added Gundlach: “I am excited to have Tom, with all his considerable experience, join the CEVA team. His skills and understanding of the automotive industry will be important to our continued success and leadership in the sector”.
