Intertrade, a Rockwell Collins company that distributes new and recertified engine and airframe parts, has announced the opening of a new distribution center at the Singapore Changi Airport to store and ship inventory. “The investment in a Singapore distribution centre brings significant benefits to our Asia-Pacific customers, namely quicker delivery and reduced shipping costs,” said Shawn Berquist, director of Intertrade.
“Time is not a luxury that our customers have when they need parts. Now, we can respond to Asia-Pacific customers same-day and in-region.” The scalable, state-of-the art warehouse, operated by SDV Logistics, will initially stock Next-Generation B737, A320 and ATR 72 inventory, as well as other high-demand avionics and aircraft components and engine parts.
