Saudi Airlines Cargo has unveiled the launch of a new direct freighter service between Shanghai and New Delhi as part of the airline’s continued expansion strategy. The new direct service offers scheduled maindeck capacity using B747-400F aircraft, operating twice weekly directly between the two cities.
“Our focus is to improve connectivity and provide a growing network of destinations and quality operations to our customers and the direct service between Shanghai and New Delhi, has been specifically designed for customers in in both cities in order to fulfill their needs and requirements,” said Vikram Vohra, regional director Far East. “If demand increases then from China to India, we would definitely increase our frequencies,” he added.
With the introduction of the new Shanghai-Delhi service, Saudia Cargo has further consolidated its position as a leading freighter operator from China to the Middle-East and beyond, the carrier said, adding that the company offers its Chinese shippers 900 tonnes of capacity per week from Shanghai and Guangzhou.
