CEVA Logistics has opened its new headquarters for South America in Sao Paulo, Brazil and also launched its fourth Center of Logistics Excellence joining Jacksonville (US), Singapore and Ashby de la Zouch (UK).
The new headquarters, located in São Paulo, will bring together operational and back-office functions under one roof. Richard Vieites, EVP South America, said: “This is an important strategic step for CEVA in the region as we consolidate our presence and prepare for continued growth. Being able to fully integrate all back office and operational functions enables us to continue supporting the needs of all our customers.”
The Center of Logistics Excellence, CEVA’s first in South America, is a dedicated area of the building where prospective and current customers are able to experience first-hand the tools and methodologies CEVA applies in order to optimise supply chains and create a competitive advantage.
Vieites continues: “The Center allows us to demonstrate ‘real world’ logistics innovation through supply chain optimisation and enhanced visibility, integrated services and technology solutions to power supply chain efficiency”.
In line with CEVA’s commitment to sustainable business practices, the location was chosen for its modern 21st century, energy-efficient design and infrastructure. The facility is pre-certified Gold for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) by the US Green Building Council (USGBC).
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior executives at CEVA including Xavier Urbain, CEO, as well as local and regional executives from CEVA’s South American cluster.
