MAB Kargo is strengthening its footprint in the East of China with the launch of new freighter service to Guangzhou (CAN) from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) as part of its extensive routes in the East China region. A MAB Kargo A330-200 freighter will operate twice weekly services to CAN commencing from 8 November 2016. These services make a new stop at Guangzhou every Tuesday and Thursday. This new route will offer 60 tonnes of cargo capacity per flight.
The twice weekly service is being introduced to tap the increasing cargo movements between Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Guangzhou is also recognized as the third busiest airport in China in terms of cargo traffic as well as key Asia-Pacific hub for major cargo airlines.
Some of the key exports carried by MAB Kargo will include perishables cargo, predominantly seafood as well as general cargo. With this new additional route, it will accelerate MAB Kargo’s network growth throughout the China region and capitalise on the air freight growth of the emerging markets.
From Kuala Lumpur, MAB Kargo connects customers to over 20 destinations around the world via its hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s largest and busiest airport. Alongside Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, MAB Kargo freighter network also serves Hong Kong International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Zhengzhou XinZheng International Airport and their recently added network connection, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.
