Pelican BioThermal announced its advanced new pallet shipper system, Crēdo Cargo, is available to buy and rent for the first time with the highly engineered, passive temperature-controlled bulk shipper offering high performance and robust reliability for the global transportation of pharmaceutical payloads.
Following an intensive design, testing and qualification process, the pallet accepting bulk shipper is in full production launching in the marketplace in January 2017. The production version was unveiled at the 16th Annual Temperature Controlled Logistics, Europe event, held at London’s ExCel exhibition center.
Crēdo Cargo provides an array of unique design features within the temperature-controlled packaging sector including utilizing PCM (phase change material) coolants which incorporate innovative slot-in system mechanism designed for rapid loading and unloading, and has a duration in excess of five days. The reusable system, designed specifically to accept a full ISO pallet, is helping to revolutionize the temperature-controlled bulk shipper market.
David Williams, president of Pelican BioThermal, said: “We are so delighted to introduce this revolutionary and pioneering passive temperature-controlled bulk shipper that will transform and change cold chain bulk shipments for the pharmaceutical manufacturing and life sciences industries. The Crēdo Cargo is a pallet accepting shipper, so it’s load and go of the payload from a client’s temperature controlled warehouse into the protection of the Crēdo Cargo and safe transit on to the final destination.”
The pioneering product is the result of intensive and extensive research and development collectively carried out by Pelican BioThermal’s new product development team. The in-depth, pioneering process has been documented via a diary of innovation video available soon on the Pelican BioThermal website.
The Crēdo Cargo is a robust, reliable, high performance pallet accepting system which provides a tough external wall construction designed to absorb and deflect impacts and is purposefully designed for four way pallet jack and forklift handling.
Greg Wheatley, Pelican BioThermal’s vice president of worldwide product development and engineering, said: “It is very exciting to announce the production of the new Crēdo Cargo bulk shippers – this product is a real game changer in the industry. He added, “Our industry renowned qualification and testing process is second to none so customers can have the confidence in this product that possesses an easy to use coolant loading system and is flat-pack, modular and stackable.”
The new bulk shipper, utilizing PCM coolants coupled with the unique slot-in components, ensures high performance and consistent temperature stability in excess of 120 hours. Its robust design makes it ideal for the rigors of global logistics applications.
With a volume of 1856L and covering temperature ranges +2C to +8C, +15C to +25C and -20C, Crēdo Cargo sets new standards in the global, bulk shipper market.
The latest qualification data reveals Crēdo Cargo’s capabilities and key benefits which are:
- Innovative reusable pallet shipper utilizing PCM coolants
- Duration in excess of 120 hours, performance tested to ISTA 7D
- Max payload capacity of 1000kg and pallet accepting design
- 270 degrees single door access for ease of loading and unloading
