Turkish Cargo’s latest investment in innovative technologies has found the cargo carrier integrating robotic process automation (RPA) into its operations to minimise error rates on data entry and spot rate approval.
Turning on its software robots Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta, the air cargo brand aims to improve productivity and speed up its operations, whilst reducing the error rates and costs to carry out its business processes.
“At the initial phase of the robotic workforce, integrated into the air cargo processes, Bravo will be in charge of the spot rate approvals, and Charlie will be in charge of checking the mail rate, designations and duplications thereof, and Delta will be in charge of the cargo booking. Whereas Alpha will enable the harmonic functioning of the other robots with each other,” Turkish Cargo explained.
Sticking to its “raise the bar” motto, Turkish Cargo is also digitalising its business processes and infrastructure at the digitally equipped SmartIST facility in Istanbul Airport.
The project is said to allow the cargo carrier to increase its capacity to carry 4 million tonnes of cargo annually.
