CEVA Logistics is expanding its air freight programme Skycapacity to serve the North Asia market with a strategic cooperation agreement with Wuxi Sunan Shuofang International Airport Group and its affiliate logistics company.

The leading forwarder will start a weekly lane to add air freight capacity from Asia to US, which will take the Seoul to Chicago via Wuxi (ICN-WUX-ORD) route. This intercontinental route will be operated with a B747 full freighter.

CEVA says its Skycapacity programme offers different destinations to and from North and South America, Europe and Asia Pacific with owned and controlled capacity of dozens of flights every week. Aside from offering consistent pricing and guaranteed capacity despite market peaks and lows, the network is also available as a spot cargo solution for customers, the company added.

The forwarder’s owned and controlled air network spans multiple carriers and includes freighter, pax freighter and passenger capacity, with leading management, tracking and customs services, CEVA noted.
