UPS has ordered 19 B767 freighters from Boeing, with deliveries scheduled between 2023 and 2025, the aircraft manufacturer announced in a press release.
The logistics integrator said the purchase aligns with its strategy and capital expenditure forecast shared in June, as well as its sustainability efforts, citing the cargo jet’s outstanding operational efficiency and payload capability.
Based on the 767-300ER (extended range) passenger jet, the cargo version carries up to 52.4 tonnes of cargo with intercontinental range, providing UPS with a flexible platform for long-haul, regional and feeder markets.

The deal adds to a record-breaking year for Boeing freighter sales, including 80 firm orders for new widebody freighters and more than 80 orders for its converted freighters.
Since being the launch customer of the freighter in 1995, UPS has ordered a total of 91 of the aircraft. The carrier currently operates 236 Boeing freighters, including the 747, 757, 767 and MD-11.
