Bolloré Logistics is paving the way for automated warehouse solutions with an initial order for a very narrow aisle (VNA) robotic truck to be used at its Blue Hub in Singapore.
The transport and logistics player has signed a partnership agreement with Balyo, a designer and developer of robotic solutions for material handling trucks, as it aims to achieve automated pallet movement for its warehouses in Asia Pacific.
As part of this collaboration, Bolloré Logistics will host Balyo’s Singapore team at its B.Lab innovation center to design supply chain solutions for different applications, notably in warehouse automation.
The two are also discussing plans for a robotic reach truck that will be introduced and put into service at the forwarder’s Green Hub, also in Singapore.
Following this trial phase, both parties intend to launch short-term studies to determine which key sites in Asia Pacific can be equipped with these innovative solutions.
