WCAworld announces management transitions for 2025

January 8, 2025 by PLA Editor

WCAworld announces management changes to its WCA Dangerous Goods and WCA Projects networks as well as its affiliate network Lognet Global, that will take effect in January 2025, marking a new chapter in the leadership of its global networks. As Bruce Cutillo and Brian Churchman announce their retirements, these transitions serve as a moment to honour the exceptional contributions of the retiring leaders whilst welcoming a new generation of visionaries committed to advancing WCAworld’s position as the leading network for freight forwarders.

Decades of Dedication
After an illustrious 11 years, Bruce Cutillo, General Manager of both WCA Dangerous Goods and WCA Projects networks, will retire at the end of 2024. Bruce has been instrumental in elevating both networks to global prominence. Under his leadership:

  • WCA Dangerous Goods became the world’s foremost independent dangerous cargo forwarding network, now boasting over 160 member offices in 45 countries.
  • WCA Projects grew into a respected hub for project logistics, encompassing over 400 member offices worldwide, recognised for its stringent quality standards and dynamic member partnerships.

Reflecting on his career, Bruce shared, “WCA Projects has been the most enjoyable part of my career since 1981. It has been a privilege working with such highly professional members, many of whom I count as friends.”

Additionally, Brian Churchman, Managing Director of Lognet Global, will step down after 14 years of remarkable service. Brian’s visionary leadership transformed Lognet Global into one of the world’s most dynamic and respected freight forwarder networks, known for its exclusivity and quality. His unwavering commitment to supporting members and embracing innovation has left an indelible mark.

Brian expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am truly proud to have supported Lognet Global’s members and will miss the camaraderie, especially at our conferences. I wish all members continued success in their business and personal lives.”

Welcoming the next era of leadership
WCAworld introduces the incoming leaders who will carry forward these legacies:

Bryce Barnhart, a long-time senior manager with WCAworld, will succeed Brian as Managing Director of Lognet Global. Bryce brings 15 years of network experience, including leadership roles in North America and in-house NVOCC All World Shipping. Bryce looks forward to his first conference at the helm in Phuket, Thailand in May 2025.

Erwin van der Genugten, based in Amsterdam, will take over as General Manager of WCA Projects in addition to his roles as Regional Manager Europe WCA and Managing Director EGLN Network. With nearly a decade of collaboration with Bruce and a deep understanding of the network, Erwin is committed to ensuring WCA Projects remains a trusted name in project logistics.

Adam McKenna, based in the UK, will become General Manager of WCA Dangerous Goods. As long trusted General Manager of WCA Perishables, WCA Pharma and WCA Time Critical networks, Adam has a clear vision for growth and is eager to build on Bruce’s accomplishments, beginning with the inclusion of Dangerous Goods members at the WCA Specialty Logistics Fair in Dubrovnik, Croatia, in 2025.

Looking to the future
These leadership changes reflect WCAworld’s commitment to maintaining its status as a forward-thinking and innovative network. By combining the wisdom of the retiring leaders with the fresh perspectives of incoming managers, WCAworld is poised to continue its mission of empowering independent freight forwarders worldwide.

David Yokeum, Chairman and Founder of WCAworld, remarked: “Our retiring leaders have set the gold standard for network management. We are deeply grateful for their contributions and confident that their successors will lead with the same passion, dedication, and innovation.”

As WCAworld looks to 2025 and beyond, it remains steadfast in its dedication to providing unparalleled opportunities, resources, and solutions to its members across the globe.
