May 29, 2025 by PLA Editor

Intralogistics specialist Kardex has opened a new office in Singapore, bringing its innovative solutions to local customers. With an expert team located at the new 300 m² office in the Nordic European Centre at the International Business Park, Kardex is positioned for growth in Southeast Asia, meeting growing demand for smart, scalable material handling and storage automation in the region.
Official launch celebrates Kardex’s growing Southeast Asian operation
A formal opening ceremony took place at the office on Tuesday May 6th and attendees were given a first look at the new space, which is designed for growth, collaboration, and automation excellence. It is home to a team of 15 employees covering a wide range of roles, including sales, business development, marketing, LCS, and software.
The opening event was attended by many guests, including Frank Grütter, Ambassador of Switzerland to Singapore, representatives of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce, as well as partners, customers, and employees. Featuring speeches, a ribbon cutting ceremony and live demonstrations of the AutoStore ASRS and Kardex’s Wearable Task Assistant (WTA), a highlight of the celebration was the traditional Lion Dance, a symbol of good luck and success at the beginning of a new venture. The dance was accompanied by another traditional gesture, the ceremonial offering of a pineapple to wish the business prosperity and success in its new office. The celebration culminated in a lunch reception with automation experts.

Kardex’s new Singapore office features live demonstrations of core Kardex solutions, including the Kardex Shuttle Vertical Lift Module (VLM) and WTA. The facility also has an immersive Virtual Showroom and a fully operational AutoStore system, integrated with Kardex’s Intuitive Picking Assistant (IPA) and purpose-built WES software, developed in-house to optimize user experience and system performance.
These technologies showcase the full strength of Kardex innovation, providing customers with an immersive, hands-on experience of smart automation technology. It enables them to validate concepts, test configurations and engage with Kardex experts to optimize solutions. Customers can start their automation journey or take their automation strategy to the next level by exploring solutions across different types of products and picking environments.
