transport logistic Southeast Asia, air cargo Southeast Asia accelerates the region’s logistics resilience, sustainability, and digitalisation

July 4, 2025 by PLA Editor

As Southeast Asia experiences a surge in intraregional trade, infrastructure investment, and digital transformation, the second edition of transport logistic Southeast Asia and air cargo Southeast Asia (tlacSEA) returns to Singapore’s Sands Expo & Convention Centre from 29 to 31 October 2025. Widely recognised as the region’s most influential logistics and air cargo event, tlacSEA 2025 will bring together industry leaders to shape the future of supply chains across the region.

Southeast Asia’s logistics GDP is forecast to reach USD 5.4 trillion by 2030 (IMFWorld Economic Outlook). With accelerating trade growth, infrastructure upgrades, and digital adoption, the region is quickly becoming a key hub for global logistics players seeking innovation, expansion, and strategic collaboration.

Building on a successful inaugural edition, tlacSEA 2025 is expected to welcome over 10,000 attendees and more than 300 exhibitors spanning the logistics, shipping, and air cargo sectors. This year’s event will serve as a strategic platform to advance resilience, sustainability, and digitalisation—three pillars essential for Southeast Asia’s long-term logistics transformation.

“In today’s volatile global environment, resilience, sustainability, and digitalization are no longer optional—they are essential,” said Michael Wilton, CEO & Managing Director of MMI Asia. “tlacSEA is more than just a trade show; it is the most important and influential meeting place for logistics and air cargo professionals in Southeast Asia. Singapore’s strategic location and innovation-driven economy make it the ideal venue for regional and global logistics leaders to convene and shape the future.”

Conference themes: Resilience, sustainability, and digitalization
The tlacSEA 2025 conference will feature over 90 sessions led by more than 100 global and regional experts, offering deep insights into:

  • Resilience: Strengthening supply chain agility and infrastructure to withstand disruptions
  • Sustainability: Accelerating decarbonization, green logistics, and circular supply chain models
  • Digitalization: Harnessing AI, automation, smart warehousing, and data-driven logistics to future-proof operations

Participation from global and regional leaders such as Google, Bosch, Mondelez, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways Cargo, Siemens Digital Logistics, and more will drive knowledge exchange and innovation across the three-day event.

Expanding regional collaboration and focus areas
As Southeast Asia cements its status as a global logistics powerhouse, tlacSEA 2025 remains the region’s only dedicated multimodal logistics and air cargo event. This year, the exhibition introduces new features that reflect the evolving needs of the industry:

  • The launch of a project cargo Zone, in partnership with Heavy Lift & Project Forwarding International (HLPFI), spotlighting heavy-lift and breakbulk logistics
  • An expanded focus on last-mile delivery, e-commerce fulfillment, and cross-border logistics
  • Strong participation from Southeast Asia’s leading air, sea, and logistics infrastructure players

These additions reinforce tlacSEA’s role as a catalyst for regional integration, innovation, and sustainable growth.

Vietnam’s growing role and the road to Singapore
On 1 July 2025, the tlacSEA Connect Series @ Vietnam was held at the New World Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, and brought together over 100 logistics professionals, government officials, and industry leaders. Themed “Strengthening Regional Trade Partnerships amid Geopolitical Shifts,” the event explored Vietnam’s expanding role in trade diversification and infrastructure development.

Key highlights from the tlacSEA Connect Series @ Vietnam:

  • Keynote by Mr. Nguyen Duy Minh, Chairman & CEO of InterLOG and Vice President of the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA), who emphasized the strategic importance of the India-Pacific Economic Corridor (IPEC) and the aviation sector’s role in advancing regional connectivity.
  • Panel discussion on “Navigating Global Trade Shifts – Vietnam’s Rising Role in Logistics and Supply Chains Connectivity,” moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hoa, Director, Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI), Vietnam Logistics Business Association
    • Mr. Nelson Wu, Managing Director, Vietjetair Cargo
    • Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, Chief Executive Officer, Vietnam SuperPort™
    • Mr. Tony Anh, Deputy General Director, ITL Corporation
    • Mr. Truong Nguyen Linh, Deputy General Director, Vietnam International Container Terminals

“Vietnam is not only rising as a logistics hub—it is becoming a strategic connector for Southeast Asia’s supply chain future,” said Michael Wilton. “By participatingin tlacSEA 2025 in Singapore, Vietnamese stakeholders can amplify their capabilities, forge new partnerships, and contribute meaningfully to the region’s logistics evolution.”

“In light of global trade tensions and uncertainties, identifying new economic corridors is critical,” added Mr. Nguyen Duy Minh, Vice President of the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA). “Vietnam has a unique opportunity to drive this conversation. tlacSEA offer the ideal platform to explore trade diversification and connect Vietnamese capabilities to global demand.”

With 14 new industrial parks announced in Q1 2025 and e-commerce growth projected at 16–30% annually, Vietnam continues to expand its multimodal logistics footprint—reinforcing its position as a vital node in the regional supply chain.

Building on the momentum, Vietnamese logistics stakeholders are strongly encouraged to participate in tlacSEA 2025 in Singapore—the region’s most influential logistics and air cargo event. The show offers:

  • Regional Influence: A platform to showcase Vietnam’s logistics capabilities to Southeast Asia and the world
  • Strategic Networking: Access to global logistics leaders, investors, and technology providers
  • Knowledge Exchange: Insights into the region’s priorities—resilience, sustainability, and digitalisation
  • Business Expansion: Opportunities to explore new trade corridors, multimodal solutions, and cross-border partnerships

Singapore: The regional nexus for logistics transformation
As Southeast Asia’s logistics ecosystem grows more interconnected, Singapore remains the anchor point for innovation, collaboration, and strategic growth. tlacSEA 2025 will bring together stakeholders from across the region—including Vietnam—to co-develop actionable solutions that will define the next decade of logistics transformation in the region.
