KLN Logistics Group Limited and SATS Ltd. jointly announced that KLN Freight International Limited (‘KLN Freight’), a subsidiary of KLN, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SATS, one of the world’s leading providers of air cargo handling services. The parties will explore strategic collaborations to strengthen the global supply chain, improve operational efficiency and develop innovative logistics solutions for customers worldwide.
The strategic partnership will combine KLN’s freight forwarding and logistics capabilities with SATS’ global network and air cargo handling expertise to jointly develop and scale solutions across their combined networks in Asia, Europe and the Americas, creating greater connectivity and efficiency across the end-to-end supply chain.
As an initial step, SATS and KLN will focus on two strategic initiatives under a value-added service programme: end-to-end temperature-controlled handling solutions to support the transport and storage of sensitive cargo and the expedited handling of time-critical shipments that require speed, precision and reliability.
Wong Siew Loong, Chief Operating Officer of KLN, said, “For time-critical and sensitive cargo such as healthcare shipments, every touchpoint in the supply chain is critical to safeguarding patient safety and service continuity. Through this MOU, our partnership with SATS leverages our complementary strengths to reinforce network resilience, enhance shipment visibility and advance service standards across our global operations. We are committed to delivering faster, more reliable and sustainable logistics solutions that provide greater assurance, agility and value for customers worldwide.”
Martin Holme, Executive Director and Chief Commercial Officer of SATS, said, “This partnership reflects SATS’ commitment to creating value through closer collaboration across the logistics ecosystem. Building on our experience in improving cargo visibility, streamlining operations and supporting time-critical shipments, we look forward to working with KLN to develop solutions that deliver greater efficiency and service excellence for customers. Singapore will be the first station for these initiatives, serving as a launchpad for solutions that can be scaled across our respective global networks.”
