Following Finnair’s decision not tofly from Helsinki to Kuala LumpurInternational Airport, Malaysia Airlines(MAS) can play a major role of providingflight services to the Scandinavianregion.
According to Transport MinisterDatuk Seri Chan Kong Choy, withFinnair cancelling its operations toBangkok and Singapore in May, MAS,which already operates to Stockholm,could play an important role of providingthe air link from Southeast Asia tothe Scandinavian countries.
A report said that Finnair’s decisionnot to go ahead with plans to operate toKLIA was motivated by the company’smove to focus its resources on expandingits operations in the Indian marketwhich has been fast growing.
