Istanbul-based carrier MNG Airlines was welcomed at its European air hub at Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN) as it launched a new regular CGN-JFK service with its newly converted A330-300P2F.
The addition of the widebody freighter, which can carry up to 63 tonnes per flight, now brings the total of MNG’s growing freighter fleet to 9 units.
MNG Airlines will operate the freighter service between CGN-New York JFK-CGN three times a week, which will coincide with its regular 6 weekly Istanbul-CGN-Istanbul flights.

Johan Vanneste, president & CEO at Cologne Bonn Airports said German and BeNeLux exporters will particularly benefit from the new Jflights to the US.
A second A330-300 P2F is scheduled to join MNG Airlines.in late August 2022 next year. EFW, the company that converted its first A330-300P2F, said the conrversion took 7 months to complete. It said the airline will operate the cargo aircraft to support the increased demand for ecommerce and the Christmas season.
