Taiwanese freight forwarder Dimerco has expanded its US network to Arizona with the completion of an undisclosed investment in Phoenix-based forwarder BC Logistics.
The new joint venture is the latest in the forwarder’s continuing expansion of its US network, which now includes 19 offices.
BC Logistics, founded in 2001, specialises in time-critical, service-sensitive shipments and boasts customers in the semiconductor, energy and healthcare sectors.
Dimerco said the merger will provide customers with logistics solutions from a single source. The Taiwanese firm currently owns 166 forwarding offices in 17 countries, with 200 partner agents and over 80 contract logistics operations.
With Arizona becoming a key hub in the US, according to the forwarder, the company plans to expand its business across a wide range of services, including air & ocean freight, domestic air & ground, logistics planning, warehousing, crating & package, asset recovery/white glove services, and time-definite courier service.
