MASkargo counts its lucky stars

AA ups max weight for packages as it covets higher-yield
American Airlines (AA) is targeting higher-yield traffic by increasing the weight limit for its small package shipments. The ceiling for its Priority Parcel Service (PPS) has gone up from 70 pounds (31.8 kilograms) to 100 pounds. PPS traffic moves on the next flight out and requires no advance booking and the carrier sells the product via ticket counters, cargo terminals and dedicated PPS facilities to courier companies and commercial shippers and consumers. Czech Republic’s CS Cargo acquires express firm
Leading Czech logistics company CS Cargo has bought CS Express, one of the three largest Czech express delivery providers, CTK Business News reported. The value of the transaction has not been disclosed. The companies signed an agreement on a gradual increase of CS Cargo's stake in CS Express to 100 per cent. The company will continue to operate as an independent unit, but will be able to use CS Cargo's facilities, such as information system and the system of central purchasing.
