RFID market to reach $7.07bn this year
Active RFID will account for more than a quarter of the total RFID market this year, a research by UK consultancy, IDTechEx, revealed. An Extraordinary General Meeting of CSA Czech Airlines has given fi nal approval for the sale of the carrier’s subsidiary, Air Cargo Terminal (ACT), which operates facilities at Prague–Ruzyně Airport. Plane Handling Limited, a leading ground handling company in the UK has opened its fi fth facility at London Heathrow Airport. West Point is the second dedicated facility Plane Handling has provided for Virgin Atlantic Airways, Cargo Point being the fi rst, which came on line in 1998. HACTL reports modest growth in 1H
Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) said cumulative tonnage from January to July 2007 was 1,427,190 tonnes, slightly up 1.8 percent compared with the same period last year. The continual tonnage growth starting from the second quarter was primarily attributed to increases in export volume and transshipment volume. Ground handler company MacroAsia Corp. plans to establish cargo handling facilities within the new Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.
