IATA's June figures offer hope with 1.2% expansion
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released June figures showing a 1.2 per cent year-on-year expansion in global air freight demand. SIA places US$17 billion Airbus/Boeing order
Singapore Airlines has placed an order for 30 more A350-900s and 30 B787-10Xs in deals valued at more than US$17 billion. The agreement with Airbus comprises 30 firm-ordered A350-900s for deliveryfrom the 2016/17 financial year, plus options for 20 more. Etihad Crystal Cargo recently received its first A330-200 freighter aircraft. Etihad is the launch customer of the A330-200 freighter aircraft, which will enter service in September.
