HKIA’s cargo volume dips 4.4 percent in September
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) reported a slide in cargo volume for September despite uptick in imports and exports as capacity remains constrained. The world’s busiest air cargo hub saw freighter movements improve from last month’s 21.5 percent, up 25 percent compared to the same month last year. dnata teams up with local ground handler to amp up Indonesian airport
Air services provider dnata has inked a deal with Jakarta-based PT UNEX Rajawali Indonesia or UNEX, a local ground handling and cargo warehouse company, to enhance ground handling capacity in Indonesian airports. Hong Kong’s waiver on airport fees extended until year-end
Hong Kong has extended the relief package for the aviation industry for another two months until the end of 2020, which includes the waiver or reduction of various fees announced in August. Hong Kong still busiest air cargo hub as virus depletes H1 volume
Hong Kong International Airport retained its position as the world’s busiest air cargo hub, despite seeing cargo volume drop 10.6 percent compared to the first half of last year, data from Airports Council International (ACI World) revealed.
