China’s second largest online retailer JD.com is partnering with Japanese logistics company, Yamato Holdings for quicker, cheaper delivery of products from Japan to China as early as May, according to a report in the Nikkei Asian Review. TNT Express awarded what is expected to be a US$575 million, five-year contract to Virgin Australia for domestic cargo transport which has prompted Virgin Australia to wet lease three freighters for the job. FedEx to build new cargo terminal at Incheon International Airport
FedEx Express signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) on 30 March to develop a new cargo terminal at ICN. Brazil quashes UPS appeal over FedEx’s TNT takeover
FedEx Corporation has gained approval from Brazil's anti-trust authorities as the Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica (CADE) has rejected a third-party appeal filed by United Parcel Service over the takeover. UPS appealed after Brazil unconditionally approved the $4.8 billion deal in February.
