Garuda Indonesia has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Airbus for the purchase of 30 A350 XWB aircraft. Hong Kong's Swire group has has announced another in what appears to be a fairly regular management shakeup, which will see James Woodrow move from director of cargo at Cathay Pacific Airways to the shipping side of Swire’s vast business empire. The first A350 XWB for Vietnam Airlines has completed its first flight in Toulouse on Monday bearing the airline’s blue and gold lotus livery. The aircraft will now enter the final phase of production, including cabin completion, as well as further ground and flight tests. The aircraft, which will be leased from AerCap, is scheduled for delivery in the middle of the year.
