Vietnam’s transport ministry has sought approval from the prime minister to issue a licence to the country’s first all-cargo airline, Reuters reported last week. The airline, IPP Air Cargo, owned by luxury retailer Imex Pan Pacific Group, had met all necessary requirements for the licence, according to a statement posted on the government website. IAG Cargo returns to Australia with belly capacity
IAG Cargo has restarted its London Heathrow to Sydney route for the first time since early 2020, as Australia reopened its borders to vaccinated passengers all over the world. Starting 27 March, IAG Cargo will utilise a B787-9 widebody aircraft with the capacity to transport up to 13 tonnes of cargo (10 compatible pallets) on a daily rotation. Seoul-based T’Way Air taps Jettainer to manage ULDs
South Korean low-cost airline T’way Air has chosen Jettainer to provide unit load device (ULD) management services under a 5-year contract. Jettainer has been providing containers and pallets for the Seoul-based airline’s three new Airbus A330 aircraft since 1 March of this year. Vietnam Airlines taps WFS as cargo handler in Bangkok
Vietnam Airlines has selected WFS subsidiary Bangkok Flight Services (BFS) as its new cargo handler at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). BFS, established as a joint venture in 2004 between WFS and Bangkok Airways, will handle around 12,000 tonnes of cargo per year for the airline, which operates Airbus A321, A350 and Boeing 787 flights ex Bangkok to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Emirates to reactivate DWC for freighters on 26 March
Emirates is reactivating its cargo hub at Dubai South (DWC) for dedicated freighter operations starting 26 March 2022.
