Singapore Airlines (SIA) has reported that its overall cargo load factor in May 2014 increased by 0.9 percentage points year-on-year to 62.9 per cent. Cargo traffic (measured in freight-tonne-kilometres) was 0.1 per cent lower compared with capacity reduction of 1.6 per cent. Airfreight rates rebounding: Drewry
Airfreight rates stabilised in April, holding onto gains made in March as Asian factories reopened following the Chinese New Year holiday period, according to Drewry in its latest Sea & Air Shipping Insight. Cathay sees May cargo jump 14% y-o-y
Cathay Pacific and Dragonair carried 138,448 tonnes of cargo and mail in May, an increase of 13.9 per cent compared to the same month last year. The cargo and mail load factor rose by 1.9 percentage points to 63 per cent.
