FedEx to build new cargo terminal at Incheon International Airport
FedEx Express signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) on 30 March to develop a new cargo terminal at ICN. The new FedEx Cargo Terminal facility is planned to have a sort capacity of up to 9,000 packages per hour, allowing inbound and outbound shipments to be processed faster and enhancing the overall customer experience. FedEx Corporation has gained approval from Brazil's anti-trust authorities as the Conselho Administrativo de Defesa Econômica (CADE) has rejected a third-party appeal filed by United Parcel Service over the takeover. UPS appealed after Brazil unconditionally approved the $4.8 billion deal in February.
