UPS confirms $1.8 billion Coyote acquisition
UPS has announced that it has entered into a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Coyote Logistics, a technology-driven, non-asset based truckload freight brokerage company for US$1.8 billion from its current owner Warburg Pincus. FedEx Corp has confirmed the market speculation, as reported by Payload last week, by signing a deal to purchase 50 additional B767-300 freighters in the biggest order ever for the aircraft type, allowing the aircraft maker to extend its production line well into the next decade.
