Turkish Cargo has launched weekly freighter services to Senegal's capital, Dakar. The Turkish carrier said the launch marked the 10th freighter service to the continent as part of its expansion plans for Africa, and the 51st freighter destination across the globe. SIA cargo traffic up 4.3% in April
Singapore Airlines reported April cargo traffic (measured in FTK) rose 4.3 per cent year-on-year to 517.3 million, as compared to a 4.7 per cent increase in capacity. Cargo load factor slipped 0.3 percentage points to 61.4 per cent last month. Load factor improved for South West Pacific (5.9 per cent) and West Asia/Africa (3.3 per cent) regions, but fell for East Asia, Americas and Europe, as demand did not keep pace with capacity changes. IAG Cargo expands German cargo operations
IAG Cargo is boosting its German cargo capacity by 18 per cent vs. last year. ACI: Slowed air freight growth in March
According to the latest statistics from Airports Council International (ACI) World, global air freight volumes grew 1.4 per cent for the month of March, although the first quarter saw an overall increase of 4.7 per cent year over year.
