Swissport signs multistation deal with Aer Lingus
Swissport International has announced it has concluded a comprehensive partnership with Aer Lingus in which the global ground handler will be named “preferred partner†at ten Aer Lingus stations in Europe over the next few weeks. Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) announced today its tonnage throughput for November 2009 was 56,866 tonnes, registering a growth of 18 per cent compared with the same month last year. Export cargo in November registered 43,650 tonnes, representing a yearon- year growth of 29 per cent. Import cargo volume for November was 12,940 tonnes, down 7 per cent from last year. Dubai-based international airport services provider, Dnata, has announced it will acquire two of the UK’s leading ground handling operations, acquisitions which are valued at £15 million (US$24.5million). Servisair has announced that it has reached agreement with Go-Ahead plc to acquire their regional ground handling business at 11 airports in the UK. The agreement encompasses Aviance ground handling operations at Aberdeen, Belfast City, Belfast International, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Luton, London Stansted, Manchester and Southampton Airports. DHL in security partnership at Bangalore airport
DHL announced that its freight forwarding division DHL Global Forwarding has signed a security partnership with Air India-SATS, Bengaluru, the cargo terminal operator at the Bangalore international airport.
