Menzies Aviation has announced the award by BA of cargo, passenger and ramp handling contracts to its JVs in Hyderabad (HYD). The airline will commence operations to HYD from 7 December this year. Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited (SATS) recently announced that the company has entered into an agreement to acquire 100 per cent of Menzies Aviation (Hong Kong) Ltd (MAHK) for approximately HK$18 million (US$2.3 million).MAHK is one of the four ground handling agents at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). Falling cargo demand hits Menzies aviation

India’s civil aviation ministry might look at allowing cargo carriers to do their own ground handling at airports within the country.
