HAECO America has signed an agreement with 321 Precision Conversions to provide heavy maintenance and structural modifications for its Airbus A321 aircraft passenger-to-freighter conversions. Atlas Air and Korean MRO services provider Sharp Technics K have signed a memorandum of agreement to form a joint venture and develop a dedicated MRO facility at Incheon airport for widebody cargo aircraft. HAECO Hong Kong has signed a long-term agreement to provide component maintenance support for Russian carrier Aeroflot. The scope of the new agreement will cover component repair and overhaul, as well as loan and exchange services for Aeroflot’s commercial aircraft fleet, including its Airbus A319, A320, A321, A330 and A350; Boeing 737 and 777; and Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. HAECO has appointed Klaus-Peter Leinauer as vice president of the group’s new commercial division for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. IAI starts modifications on ‘Big Twin’ freighter
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has started the structural modification phase in the conversion of the prototype Boeing 777-300ERSF (special freighter), in partnership with GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS).
