ST Engineering redelivers modified freighter to US-based aircraft lessor
Modification specialist ST Engineering has redelivered an A321 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion to US-based aircraft lessor BBAM Limited Partnership (BBAM). IAI inks contracts to upgrade South Korea’s Air Force jets
IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries) secured avionic upgrade contracts worth approximately US$50 million for three different aircraft types used by South Korea’s Air Force. The upgrades, which include converting a used aircraft and retrofitting all or parts of it with new and advanced avionic systems, are set to be carried out in the next two years, according to an Israeli news site. Airbus launch partner Vallair is set to start the first A321 freighter conversion in China. Kalitta Air gets dibs on ‘Big Twin’ freighter with GECAS Cargo deal
Last week GECAS Cargo announced a lease agreement with Kalitta Air for three 777-300ERSF aircraft, allowing the Michigan-based all-cargo airline to be the first operator of the new passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion. More orders expected as first A321 converted freighter enters service
The first A321 freighter converted by ST Engineering-Airbus joint venture Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) has entered service with Qantas for Australia Post.
