ASL tops up orders for Boeing’s 737-800BCF

Aircraft lessor and ACMI airline operator ASL Aviation Holdings earlier this week announced an order for up to 20 additional 737-800BCFs (Boeing converted freighters), bringing up its total order to 40 for the Boeing narrowbody freight jet. The agreement is for 10 firm orders and 10 purchase rights. The aircraft will be converted by Boeing at approved MRO sites, including STAECO in Jinan and at the company's London Gatwick MRO facility in the United Kingdom. EFW secures STC for A320P2F freighter prototype

ST Engineering and Airbus joint venture, Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), has received the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for its head-of-version A320 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) aircraft. CDB Aviation to deliver China’s first A330-300P2F this year

Irish aircraft lessor CDB Aviation is on pace to launch the very first A330-300P2F converted freighter in China this year. The company, a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing (CDB Leasing), has secured lease commitments from Sichuan Airlines and Jiangxi Cargo Airlines. Astral Aviation to start flying world’s first A320P2F in Q2

Astral Aviation is set to be the launch operator of ST Engineering’s A320 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) programme after the latter signed an agreement to lease up to five Airbus A320 cargo conversions to UAE-based lessor group Vaayu. Here’s the ‘newest’ cargo jet to join Lufthansa’s fleet

EFW recently handed over the third 3rd converted A321P2F to aircraft lessor BBAM, which will be the first passenger-to-cargo conversion of the type to be operated by the Lufthansa Group. AEI’s B737-800SF freighter model gets ETOPS approval

AEI to provide Macquarie AirFinance with four B737-800SF freighter conversions

Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has received ETOPS 180 approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its B737-800SF freighter conversion. This latest development will allow the 23.9-tonne-capacity twin-engine freighter to fly extended 180 minutes over water and remote regions. AEI says this will open operational routes in areas like Northern Africa and Western China.
