Aeronautical Engineers (AEI) has received an order for another B737-400SF 11 pallet position freighter from Bulgaria based Cargoair. The aircraft, built in 1990 (MSN 24691) is a high gross weight B737-400 with only 30,000 cycles and is undergoing modification at Commercial Jet’s Miami facility. AEI delivers sixth freighter to DHL
Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) has delivered the sixth B737-400SF freighter to DHL. Southern Air will operate the aircraft for DHL Express in the Americas. The aircraft is a high gross weight B737-400SF (MSN 26334) built in 1996 and was converted at Commercial Jet’s Dothan, Alabama facility, which is one of five authorised AEI Conversion Centres worldwide. Air cargo ends 2014 up 4.5% on 2013: IATA
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released full-year air cargo data for 2014 showing 4.5 per cent demand growth compared to 2013 measured by freight tonne kilometres (FTKs), marking a "significant acceleration" from the 1.4 per cent recorded in 2013 over 2012.
