LAX back on cargo/pax growth track
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) saw first quarter cargo volume grow by 4.8 per cent in March and 4.2 per cent in the first quarter year-on-year, driven by growth in air mail and general air freight. The airport’s cargo traffic fell nearly four per cent last year as importers increasingly turned to cheaper ocean shipping. Abu Dhabi bidding for Manchester Airport
Abu Dhabi is part of a joint venture making a bid for a 50 per cent stake in Manchester airport, according to a report in the UK’s Sunday Times newspaper.
