Fraport Cargo Services (FCS) has taken over cargo handling for Eritrean Airlines as of 17 April following the resumption of scheduled flights from the Eritrean capital of Asmara. To start, the route will be served three times weekly with an A319 aircraft from Asmara via Rome to Frankfurt and back to Asmara again. Dnata’s FreightGate-8 volumes continue growth
Dubai’s dnata has said air cargo volumes have grown substantially during the last financial year at its newest terminal, FreightGate-8, located at the new Dubai World Central-Al Maktoum International Airport. Dubai Int’l reports marginal rise in March
March was a good month for Dubai International, the fourth busiest hub for passengers and freight in the world. According to the monthly traffic report for March issued by Dubai Airports, the airport saw double-digit growth for the third consecutive month. The airport handled 186,417 tonnes of cargo in March 2012 compared to 185,921 tonnes in March 2011, a rise of 0.3 per cent.
