Cargolux has accepted its third B747-8 freighter at the end of March joining a fleet of nine B747-400F, three B747-400BCF and two B747-8F. The new aircraft was originally due in late 2011 but the delivery was pushed back by programme delays at Boeing. AirBridgeCargo flies Hanover-Beijing
The Russian carrier commenced weekly line-haul services between Hanover in Northern Germany and the Chinese capital with stopovers in Moscow Sheremetyevo airport. Deployed weekly, the inaugural flight on 10 March saw the freighter was filled with automotive parts stemming from various producers in and around Hanover. Inaugural cross-polar flight for ABC
AirBridgeCargo (ABC) Airlines, Russia’s largest cargo carrier, has operated its first ever cross-polar flight via the North Pole en route from Chicago to Krasnoyarsk. Onboard the B747-400 freighter was a cargo of 175 Angus bred heifers, weighing а total of 104,000 kilos.
